AI-901: Introduction to AI in Azure

Course overview

Understand how modern AI works and how it is built on Microsoft Azure and Microsoft Foundry. This program introduces core AI concepts, responsible AI, generative and agentic AI, and how to create AI solutions using Azure AI services — with hosted labs so you can practise immediately. It is the fastest route into the Microsoft AI ecosystem for both technical and non-technical learners.

What you will learn (aligned to Microsoft’s skills measured)

• Identify AI concepts and responsibilities — AI workloads and considerations, responsible AI principles, and how generative, agentic, computer-vision and language workloads behave
• Implement AI solutions using Microsoft Foundry — deploy models, and build lightweight apps for generative AI, text, speech, vision and information extraction using Content Understanding and the Foundry SDK

Entry requirements

No formal prerequisites. Basic digital literacy recommended; familiarity with Python syntax is helpful but not required.

Certification & exam information

This program prepares you for Exam AI-901: Introduction to AI in Azure, leading to Microsoft Certified: Azure AI Fundamentals (Fundamentals). The Microsoft exam is not included by default — add an official exam voucher at checkout, or use one you already hold. On completion you receive a MILCOM TECH course completion certificate; where applicable, you may also receive a Microsoft course completion record/certificate for the official course. These are separate from Microsoft certification and are not a nationally recognised qualification.
